The End of the Begining: Epilogue

"So it was you all along," I looked up and said into the eyes of darkness. "You killed everybody and now you're after me? That's how this is all going to end?"

Never did they look away. Our eyes stood connected. All I felt was betrayal, nothing more nor less. A slow smirk crossed their lips and as a single tear rolled down my face and they said "Well babe, you always got to watch your back because you never know whose gonna stab it . . . literally . . ."
