Description

Short works, school assignments, and freewrites that don't deserve to be their own book. I've ordered them from best to worst. This collection is also published on FictionPress; however, the chapter order is different. Section I - Stand-alone Stories 1. The Graduate. Flash fiction. When she begged for help from "anyone or anything who could help her pass her class," she wasn't expecting a demon to actually show up. 2. The Sting of Betrayal. Flash fiction. She was just trying to do a good deed. She learned her lesson. 3. How to Avoid Moving Your Body in P.E. Essay. Tips on minimizing others' awareness of your physical body while you're going through puberty. 4. Middle School: An Anthropological Study. Autobiographical essay. A homeschooled nerd takes a journey into a strange, foreign land. 5. Bus Stop. Creepypasta-style. A woman chases a purse snatcher, but the thief might not be what she appears. Section II - Short scenes 1. Forbidden Fruit - A girl trying to hide contraband cookies. 2. Muffy and Sephy - A pubescent relationship from two POV's. 3. Ten Seconds, 300 Words - The last ten seconds of a girl's life. 3. Dialogue Exercise: Eavesdropping - Badly injured, a boy overhears a conversation between a vampire and the human he's brought to feed off. 4. Hospital Scene: From an assignment to write a scene set in a hospital. 5. Characterization - Using setting to make a point about character. 6. Primal Landscape: California Suburbs: For an assignment to write the beginning of a story set in ones hometown. 7. 99 Red Balloons: A challenge to write a story based off a song. Lovely cover by awakenedskies. Middle School: An Anthropological Study was published in the 2014 volume of Kula Manu Literary Journal. Featured on @CoffeeCommunity's Anthologies reading list. Featured on @WattPadAnthologies's Multi-Genre Anthologies reading list.
