Edith's little sister feels ill to the deadly Red Serpent disease from the plague that killed many people a year ago. The year now is 2050 and the people of earth live within Houses. Edith is of the House of Flounce, but when she meets a Scribe Kole of Jex she convinces him to take her to find the cure for her sister. But, they must travel between different clans and territories of Houses. Can they make it back in time or will Edith's little sister die?
