In a dark world ruled by clocks and a society puppeted by ghosts and strings of fate, Trellick Vario is cast into a brewing storm of war among gods and men and must learn the difference between sacrifice and salvation, prophecy and destiny, evil and neccessity, all while trying desparately to free his wife Lucia from the clutches of time and exact revenge for the clock's crimes.
