Description

You think it's crazy pushing the envelope of morality or what society deems is normal? To question you own sanity and ask yourself why you do somethings in your life? And who said that the one fine line between moral and immoral has to be so thin or sane versus insanity? I ponder what I was raised to believe when a famous quotes pop into my head: “Respect for ourselves guides our morals; respect for others guides our manners” by Laurence Sterne I chuckle to myself and have to agree with this because in my line of work, there are gray areas and I have worked so hard to gain the respect I deserve from coworkers, my boss and my partner, thus allowing me to respect myself even more. One of my few friends from high school called me insane once to do this and I might well be, but hey you just have to push that invisible line sometimes right? So some feel I'm totally insane with how I view life, the question is am I? Ding another quote surfaces in my thoughts: “Sanity and happiness are an impossible combination.” by Mark Twain Now that's what I'm talking about because sometimes a person has to do crazy things to find true happiness in an insane world. I start to calm my nerves and I remember my favorite quote from the high school text that was shoved down our throats: “No great mind has ever existed without a touch of madness.” by Aristotle
