Prologue

She looked like Aphrodite. She had the brains of Athena. She moved like Artemis. She loved like Hestia. Piss her off and she was like Hera. Some called her Selene, the Moon Goddess and mother of Vampires. Some called her Nike, the Goddess of victory. She was more like Persephone, kidnapped, taken from her family, and forced to love a wicked man.

"Selene. Or, is it Nike?"

"Actually, it's none of your damn business. But, if you must know, it's Mavis."

"Mavis? That's not the name of any Goddess I know."

"I never said I was a Goddess. I'm not even Greek, or Roman, or anything like that. I'm simply Mavis."
