Peyton is not as happy as she may seem, she's actually the exact opposite. She feels like she's living in everyone's shadows, while they shine in the spotlight. All she ever wanted was the approval of her mother, who she loved and cared for deeply. She hated how her mother never looked at her the same way she looked at her brother and cousins. Oh how badly she wished her mother would see her for she who she is, instead of who her mother wanted her to be. She wanted to feel loved and cared for, not unwanted. It's not fair that my brother can mess up and still be her favorite child. If i messed up I would be looked down upon. Peyton tries hard to be the perfect daughter but all her mother sees is her flaws. Will she ever be happy for real instead of pretending everyday?
