"Why me?" I shouted, sobs following soon after as well as the harsh, uncontrollable, hiccups that I hated with a passion. "Why would you pick me?" Alex sits in front of me, his legs crossed with neatly tucked hands. His eyes are wide and fearful, something I haven't been able to see. "You're funny, selfless, caring, smart, and honestly, the most beautiful girl I had ever laid eyes on." I look down, the tears staining my face. "You are just like HIM. HE used to say those things.
