Trunks going in the past screwed up far more than the one timeline. His traveling to the past and changing history caused a mass ripple effect on other timelines. Now, join timeline 6 starring the Emperor of the known universe and the Prince of all Sayains. After the loss of his home planet and much of his race, Prince Vegeta had no choice but to take Lord Freeza's offer and work for the tyrant. It repulsed the Prince to be the lackey to such a disgusting monster. Yet, throughout the years the Prince found it seemed to be quite easy to get away with things. It gave Vegeta hope that Freeza was getting careless but when invited to a getaway trip, Vegeta finds out exactly why the merciless tyrant has been going soft.
