Can you fall in love with the same person twice?

"I can't be with you, I just can't," she said turning away.

"Why not?"

She let out a heavy sigh. "It didn't work before when we had everything going for us, there's no chance we could make it work now."

Following a misunderstanding childhood sweethearts, Louis and Charlotte split up while she was away at college. Seven years later, they are reunited at the funeral of an old friend. Life, however, has not been easier for either of them. Charlotte has fled from an abusive relationship and Louis is struggling after being medically discharged from the army. This could be a second chance for them but maybe there's too much between them?
