Prologue

I'm running, running, running. NO I'm caught, white-hot pain sears through me. NO they can't burn me... NO they're not burning me, they're drowning me. Through the water I can vaguely see them dragging a shape... NO not Brienne! They can't take Brienne! I try to scream but I can't. No sound comes out. I try to swim but I can't. There's nothing to push off of. I try to fight, but my muscles are weakening by the second. I try to burn but there's no flame left inside me. I try to fade but the water holds me in place. I'm drowning. I'm crying. I'm burning. I'm dying...
