One night, Derek Garcia was having the night of his life. The next day, everything went to hell. The Deads- flesh eating monstrosities- cut him off from a safe zone and separated him from his friends. After the death of the only friend that he considered family, Derek manages to survive on his own for a while before meeting a girl named Star. From there, he's thrown into a new community with new people and his number one rule gets thrown out the window when new bonds are formed.
