Annie has been keeping a secret that's been ripping her apart since childhood. She's never opened up to anyone, even her pet dog Nancy. One day she and her family move from their house in Maine to an apartment in Michigan. She, her 16-year old sister Mare, and 15-year old brother Parker all have to go to a new school. Which is hard for Annie considering that she's shy and it's a new school. She's bullied a lot and doesn't make a single friend, until a 13-year old girl by the name of Angie becomes Annie's friend.
