"What?" my sister chuckled. "Really?" my dad blurted. My brother just let out a little laugh. He was probably wondering how my insane idea would pan out when I had started crying earlier that day because he had called me stupid. I had just announced to the room the five words that changed my life - "I want to do that." I was seven years old, sitting between my brother and sister on the couch in the TV room. My dad was sitting next to the couch on the black chair with his feet up on a stool. We were all watching the little men on the screen slam each other into the boards and pass the tiny black disk around the ice. It was the 2010 Winter Olympics - an ice hockey game. note: This was created by a younger me as a school project. I won't try to say it's perfect, because it's not. It should also technically be in Non-Fiction, because it's a true story, but it's pretty short so I put it in short story anyway. Names, besides my own, have been changed.
