Four years ago, the Simian Flu spread like wildfire throughout the world. Those few immune helped the needy. Those not infected attempted to remain that way. Those diseased, died. Everett Grant and Atticus "Tuck" Brown are hungry, thirsty, and broken. They stumble from city to city in the southeast, searching for any fellow survivors. So far, they've found none. Desperate, they stagger into Nashville, Tennessee. There, everything changes.
