prologue

chassidy marie holmes (who likes to go by the name chase): a 20 year old girl majoring in english at Stanford University. although her parents are completely against it (or anything that stereotypically makes her seem gay), she boxes in her spare time. she is widely known by almost everyone on campus, except for a few that didn't really care much about anything unrelated to school. due to her popularity (and her family's extreme wealth), she basically gets anything and everything she wants without a struggle.

katherine renae thomas (but most people call her kate): an 18 year old girl who just got a full ride scholarship to the school of her dreams to pursue the career of her dreams: becoming a lawyer. she focuses mostly on her studies in order to achieve her goal, but will always save some time to have a real life. she grew up with the same group of friends for as long as she can remember, but they didn't focus on their goals as much as kate did; meaning kate has to make some new friends here at Stanford University. she is determined to be able to keep on track with school and not let anything distract her, but with a certain new girl in her life, it's not proving to be easy.
