prologue: begining

"Tragedy is something that will take its toll on everyone sometime in their life. For some, it happens sooner than expected."

Emily McGarrett leaves the Navy after her entire world is turned upside down.

Her brother, Commander Steve McGarrett, offers her a job on his task force in Hawaii.
