Chapter 1:

Julius Barnum lives an average life as a small-time private investigator. His world is about to get a whole lot bigger when he finds an abandoned pocketbook on his lawn and is dragged into a murder investigation. When the victim's sister attempts to steal the box from the pocketbook, their touch accidentally brings two warring generals from the worlds separated by the World Between to Earth. Julius is thrown into a war of magic and fantasy as he tries to find the girl's murderer and stop the war while keeping the strange little box safe. Can Yuri be trusted?
