Chapter One

"Shhh.." He said as he cupped my face with his bloody hands. "Why?" I managed to croak out and he smiled softly, a slight trace of humanity shining in those cold brown eyes. "My daughter. The world is far too cruel. Secrets too harmful to be let out." He spoke in tongues, what does that mean? With that said he took out a single light pink rose. My heart raced as he grabbed my hand and placed the stem in it, before curling my fist around it. So tightly that the thorns pricked my skin. I let out a whimper and he let go. "Don't go looking for answers to questions that should never be asked. I love you so much my little girl." He said before sticking the gun in his mouth and pulling the trigger.
