Alexander Hamilton meets a young man by the name of Thomas Jefferson one day while he is in New York City. Jefferson introduces him to his friend, John Laurens, and Hamilton knows that these men will change his life, but in what ways? With romance, chance, and friendship being his motives, along with worry, sadness, and the guidance of a philosophy professor, Alex tries to see who he truly loves, and who is better off being his friend.
