14. Cursed Road

This was written for the Fantasy Community's fourteenth prompt, where one writes a story about a cursed road, a restaurant/tavern/inn/wayhouse, a piece of headwear with a black feather and the Japanese art of kintsugi, the Japanese art of fixing ceramics with gold and silver lacquer.
Keith's last name of Kogane means gold, and Shiro's last name of Shirogane means silver.
