I asked, and the great magician turned his head towards me with a smile. "Dragons." *** Esty, a girl that's been limping her whole life, is destined to become a fisherman like her parents. It's her sixteenth birthday, and, like everyone in Mayaga, she needs to choose a trade to become an apprentice in. But, somehow, it turns out she possesses magic, and the Great Magician himself takes her as his apprentice after centuries of searching for another magic wielder. The duty of the Magicians is to protect Mayaga from what lies above the Life Tree. But Esty never expected to encounter dragons.
