Prologue: Sunrise at Red

Michael Sierra never expected anything big, not even after he got back to the Philippines after 12 years of being abroad in Europe.
Being apart from childhood friend Leila almost made him want to grasp what was lost during those 12 years. However, Leila turns out to be missing, instead replaced with a child resembling her, Lucia.
Lucia's cryptic messages don't exactly relieve the situation, so Michael sets himself to seek answers as to what happened to his dear childhood friend.
But how can he be sure that nothing will go wrong, especially when a dark secret hides the truth?
