Running through the woods is easy, or it should be. Your soft skin has never known the torture of the harsh grass, the rigid twigs and the forgotten broken glass. Yet, you relish it all; the pain, the pleasure and the discovery. It is only in pain that we understand that we are alive, right?

That's why when you felt him tighten around your chest, you cracked a small smile. It was the mystery that drew you in and told you not to struggle. You did not know why you felt like you were going to die, but you did not turn the invitation away.

Perhaps, that is why he chose you.
