Prologue Part 1

"I have never experienced a man that used words that could cut deeper into my flesh then a freshly sharpened blade. The words sank in so slowly and yet so fast. I tried not to understand, because blocking this truth made it a lie. And it being a lie made it feel like the truth. The way a human girl like me thinks is different depending on the person they are. If one can say that words can't hurt you. The words they have been hearing are the words of deep sincerity. And that, is the reason I am how I am. I am the person I am today because even though words cut deep. The scar is proof that you have heard them once and if you hear them again, your heart won't skip a beat like the first time."
