Description
The sea was known to be very temperamental and loathed those who decided to challenge its strength. For those that called the sea their home, they respected the waters as the sea demanded. But for those that lived on land, they did not understand the full strength and often sought to challenge it, resulting in their death. The sea was known to claim many lives, of the young and the old. Eventually, those on land began to learn and to warn future generations, they told tales of the sea, of the monsters that lurked below and the horrors that others had witnessed when ships did not make it home. However, there were always those select few that were foolish enough to continue challenging the wrath of the sea. For young mermaid, Serena Blackwell, she has witnessed countless lives of the land-dwellers be lost to the sea. Tired of the sea taking its anger out on those and polluting her home with bodies, Serena goes against the will of the waters and saves the life of an idiotic boy, which changes her life forever.
