Thea Garrity lived through It the day Lana Stanley brought a gun to Townshill High school and opened fire. Two people never made it out of the school alive.

Now, seven months after the fact, Thea has graduated and done everything in her power to forget about that day in October. As a former straight-A student with college ambitions, it came as a shock to her parents when she decided that she wanted to take a year off before going to college.
