Paper Cranes

At least seven years ago, a friend of my mine was dying and she was not given much time left to live. My older sister read in a book that making a thousand paper cranes would make her well again, so she began. She made boxes full of thousands of these cranes. A year or two later, our friend died and all the paper cranes were thrown away.
