Log one, Day one

Being the captain of a dead ship, you begin to ponder whether the safety of your crew was purposefully puts over the edge in a deadly and almost impossible mission. You lost a crew mate, what do you do?

The first short story given to me in a creative writing elective I took last year. Its recently edited, hope you enjoy it! I don't mind continuing it if anyone is interested in what happens next!
