15-year-old Lina has it all. A big house, fancy car, popularity at school, loads of cash, and the best boyfriend someone could ask for. Throughout her entire life she has been a spoiled brat, and never has endured physical pain like others. Until now. When the first strike hit, it was like fire set to each human. No one knew what was going on at the time. Except the government of course. Soon more and more nuclear bombs were being set off throughout the entire U.S, Including where Lina was. Fear and hopefulness set in everywhere as power went out, businesses closed, and causalities were adding up drastically. Lina must now live in a world of survival and hate, one she never thought could be possible. With the help of new friends and a heart-gaping ally, Lina and her family try their best to wait out the war. But tensions have made the situation more difficult than ever, ordinary people turning against others in the time of need and trust. Throughout this tremored journey, Lina must come to a realization that not everything will be as it seems.
