This girl, unlike all of the other idiots on the planet (excluding you, of course) had prepared for an actual zombie apocalypse, and not in the way you'd expect. She had done more than simply researched on the undead and read Z-books. She has lived her whole life, preparing for this day, and still managed to live it normally... well -_- as normal as it can get... anyways. What if "the end of the world" really did come? Would you be prepared? Life is simply a game of survival, and we all have no other choice but to hit PL∆Y.

*** this is a very rough draft*** It wasn't always like this. I remember reading books and watching television shows that portrayed the zombie apocalypse. I would think of ways I would run and hide, what place I might end up, how I would get there and who I was going to bring with me. But it didn't happen that way. It never happens the way you have it planned in your mind. The chaos. The constant state of panic, all the blood and death. It takes its toll on you, either you fight to live or you give up and you die. There aren't any other options!

Veronica Tyler wanted to forget her past as a member of the SWAT team of Los Angeles just as much as she wanted to forget her modest beginnings in a Ohio town that produced nothing but teen mothers and careers in the fast food industry. Her life was flipped upside down by the events she witnessed on the SWAT team, familial deaths, and becoming an instant mother. Despite the pitfalls, she makes a comfortable life for herself as a cop caring for her parentless nephew. At least until a virus brings the nation to its knees and the dead to their feet. Sergeant First Class Booker Ashly Dunbar - just Dunbar if you value your health - has spent the last sixteen years of his life in the U.S. army. He has taken more than a few bullets, but none of that pain could amount to the grief that has lingered for years after the deaths of some of his men in the beginning of his career. After finishing his last tour in the Middle East, he decides to enter the reserves, hoping that this new status will bring some peace back to his life. That is, until his mother dies. He comes home to find her house robbed, his sister beaten to a pulp, and the country in a state of chaos with a virus that is facilitating what is being deemed an apocalypse. Steven "Psycho Steve" Troublefield has spent the majority of his life in and out of jail cells, eventually graduating to the big leagues of prison time. After his release, he reconnects with an old pal that helps him set up a meth lab in his apartment, often referring to themselves as chemists. It's a smooth operation at first, until they encroach on the territory of a kingpin's drug syndicate. Finding themselves owing this kingpin thousands of dollars in exchange for their lives, they resort to any means necessary to get the money... Until a plague of the walking dead suddenly seem to free them from their debt. The lives of these individuals often cross in more ways than one. This is their story of the pestilence years.

Becoming a zombie hadn't been on Harley Evans's calendar. Not even in pencil. It has been 28 years, 14 weeks and 9 days since a virus turned more than half of the world's human population into zombies. More than 95 percent of the population died within 6 months of the initial infection. Those who survived holed up wherever they could find safety. My parents found safety in the Cube, a building that was originally built as a prison for violent criminals. Mom and Dad always told me the sacrifices we made to live in the Cube were worth it because we were safe. Its been 13 days, 12 hours and 42 minutes since my parents disappeared without a trace from our apartment inside the Cube. I'm going to leave the Cube for the first time today. Maybe I'll find my parents. Maybe, I'll be eaten by the zombies. ****Note from the author: This is the first book in my After The Apocalypse Series. This is a finished series and the remaining 2 installments can be found anywhere books are sold. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy!
