This is a WoT One-Shot. HISTORICAL CONTEXT: From 1946 to 1954 the French Empire fought a war to keep control of their colony in Indochina, or present-day Vietnam, against Communist Rebels: this conflict would be the First Indochina War. This war was lost by the French, and it led to what would eventually be the Second Indochina War- The Vietnam War. Well known in the First Indochina War were two pivotal battles lost by the French- the Battle of Dien Bien Phu, and a subsequent battle, the Battle of Mang Yang Pass, in which G.M. 100, a French retreating armored force, was ambushed on a road by Việt Minh forces. If you're reading this, you probably know the AMX 50 tank. This story is a short tale about what-if a prototype of an AMX 50 w.120 mm was present at the destruction of G.M. 100 and managed to escape into the surrounding jungle. I don't own World of Tanks, nor do I own any part of Wargaming. However, as always, I wrote this story, so I think that gives me some credit.

Growing up in high school was tough for Jessie. She'd always get bullied for her appearance. She'd mostly get nasty comments from Harry Styles, the one she hated the most. When she graduated from high school, she got rid of the books and became a model. After not seeing each other in what seemed forever for her, she bumps into Harry while they're both visiting Paris. This is her story.

This story was something I wrote in a Swedish "Wheel of Time" based play-by-post roleplaying game many years ago (2003?) and did a rough translation of in order to send to the guy who would later end up my husband. :) I wrote it as a way for me to get rid of a bunch of characters at once, as well as a chance to write something about all my characters and what they were up to. I still like the feel of the story, but the text could do with a lot of work in general, realistically. Seeing as how it was only ever meant as a post in a play-by-post roleplaying game, aside from updating the text a little to make me want to gouge my eyes out slightly less, I doubt I'll go back and do more work on it. Oh yeah, and because they were roleplaying characters, why you get some oddities that wouldn't be okay with canon. Like Aes Sedai born and raised in the Aiel Waste, and Aes Sedai-Accepted relationships that are a wee bit too friendly, etc. *cough* (And spoiler: servants Janus and Atanea are the same person - it's Zoula in disguise. And the girl with the braids at the end is a ghost.)

Contest Entry for Gaming Contest and Challenge: Must be Love on the Game Tank Noir? Think film noir with bigger guns! Set a grimy 1950's detective story in the World of Tanks universe. Add equal parts Fury and Airplane (don't call me Shirley!) We meet Mike "Tiger" Hammer - a private detective who is a bit of a slow heavy. Fortunately his receptionist, Emma-Kate "Easy" Sherman, usually keeps him on track. However this time he's going to be critically hit by something out of the blue. While there are some inside jokes, it's not essential to have played World of Tanks. An edited version of this story is in the Tank Noir anthology, "I, the Tiger". The series starts with Mike Hammer dealing with a former love, murder and betrayal.
