Because, physically speaking, Henry is not strange looking. There is nothing about him that could hint the slightest abnormality or dysfunction, nor provoke anyone's interest. After all, nothing is fascinating about the married university teacher in the worn out suit, with the untied tie, the lanky figure, the stern expression and the hollow eyes. If anything, everything about him appears mundane, banal even. Lately, I've been feeling quite odd, to say the least. Every time I see Jefferson's face, my hands get clammy, I missed him when he wasn't around and my heart starts racing when he is. Yes, we're on a last name bases. I wonder if he had some type of disease that was contagious, so I brought it up with my mother. She said those were the exact symptoms of love. Love. I can't believe that me, a sixteen year-old high-school outcast, can fall in love with him, a seventeen year-old high-school student who is exceptionally handsome. Maybe this wouldn't have happened if I hadn't decided to prank him on the first day back to school. Well, I didn't exactly choose him since he just happened to be the person walking by while I dropped the water balloon filled with mud. Partially, it was his fault that he came to school 15 seconds to early than another unsuspecting unknown victim of mine. If he would've came to campus a few seconds later than this would've have never happened. He was such a huge snitch. Who goes and tells the principal, yes the principal, about a small harmless prank? Though the impact of the balloon on his head must've stung a bit, but I bet he has probably gone through worst pain before. That wimp. --- The Quirky Wimps, Jen K. @ 2014.
