A story about a young boy who becomes a lords son whipping boy. Through the treacherous tasks of being whipped from the lords son outbursts, Dominik finds a way to cope. Through a river not to far away from the manor, Dominik finds peace from a mysterious woman. As Dominik matures into a gentleman and his visits to the river becomes less he soon finds out that the mysterious woman he met at his first venture to the river is not what he thought she was. Will Dominik be pulled into the darkness once and for all or will he overcome the lords cruel treatment?
