In Gotham, there was a rumor. A rumor, saying that the Bat was the coalescence of their sins, come to punish them (they said that, due to the Batman being formed of their sins, it could not kill them, lest it be weakened). The Bat was formed of the night, and the lines between it and the night blurred, to the point that it became all but invisible in the shadows, only able to be seen by the glow of its eyes, or a shadow blotting out the little light of the moon as it flew in the skies, surveying its territory. The Bat was eldritch, a myth, a tale told to children to frighten them into behaving. 'Be good, and the Batman won't snatch you away to join its brood'. By day, a ditzy socialite, CEO of Wayne Industries, by night, a vengeful shadow in the dark, punishing criminals and doling out justice, the Bat was real.

Nico knew two things growing up in Gotham. Batman's team wasn't as good as you might think. And the Red Hood was a lot better than you might think. Well, that and to avoid the cops and Wayne family, but that was just common knowledge. So when he finds out a close friend of his is the Red Hood, he doesn't know what to think. When he finds out that the Batfamily and Wayne family alike are harassing him, he knows exactly what to think.

Marinette has a secret. She's been hiding her eye color since she was little. She was a black. Of couse blacks were feared and if anyone found out you were a black you would be taken to a camp where they resided. So she hid it. Until she found Damian. Damian was found out to be a purple. Those were feared almost as much as blacks. Except Talia liked Damian's power as a purple. She loved it in fact. But he hid it from others. His father or brothers do not know about him being a purple. He feared they would shun him or his father would leave him because they were scared of him. And then Damian and Marinette meet each other.

A lonely girl, a flash of light, four brothers who need a place to stay. Cora Sanchez, a girl left alone for far too long, mostly Damian Wayne, a boy who hates human contact, mostly. I am 100% sure that the ages are nowhere close in this one. Dick is a sophomore (16), Marie and Jason are freshmen (15) , Tim in in eighth grade (14) and Damian is in fifth grade (10). Both parents are cold and distant, slightly abusive, and don't really care. They do try sometimes, there are good and bad days. When Marie meets the Wayne boys, her life gets better and better. Dick, befriends her first and eventually the rest of the boys fall for her and Marie causes a kind of civil war within the Wayne manor.
