It is with great excitement and delight that we welcome you back to Versification 2026! With new ideas, structure and challenges, we are excited to see what this year holds!! Versification is a contest where we challenge the poet to write a new entry for every day of April. Additionally, it challenges poets to write in some of the unique forms of poetry in our daily challenges.

Some stories don't end - they linger, like April rain on quiet days. 𝐀𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐀 is a collection of moments that exist in the in-between - where beginnings feel uncertain, endings arrive softly, and emotions refuse to fade completely. Each poem captures fragments of connection, loss, growth, and quiet realization, unfolding like petals that never fully close. This is not a book of perfect endings. It is a book of almosts, echoes, and afterglow- of feelings that stay long after they should have left. Step gently into 𝐀𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐀, where every page holds a piece of something once felt, and never entirely forgotten.

Every beat, there are random words to discover and share. Let me bleed, not in tears but in my ink through prompt. I'll make it into a masterpiece. Versification 2026

Ever wondered what it is like to ponder on impossible thoughts almost no one gets? That's a blessing and a curse. Something you possess can only be your weakness until you weaponize it. An empty brain is not the Devil's abode, for Devil was once the smartest angel. It takes brain to play tactful. Not an empty skull. "Everything has a meaning. But not everyone is sharp enough to see it." This is a poetry collection fueled by my unique thoughts on things most poeple miss. I'm not extraordinary. Just an individual who harbours and nurtures her somewhat different perception. If you enjoy cracking codes, or giving theories, then, this is the place for you. All theories are welcome as long as they are respectful. I'll post poetry with hints or clues towards the end. You guys can play detectives. The ones to crack the code, recieve a shoutout along with my loyal readers. Polite or constructive criticism is welcome as long as it's valid. I love improving. In Between Shadow and Bloom, I'm tracing the quiet spaces where becoming begins, those fragile moments suspended between who we were and who we might dare to be. Through a series of intimate, unguarded poems, this collection lingers in the soft tension between light and darkness: grief that softens into growth, longing that learns to breathe, and beauty that reveals itself in the most fleeting encounters. Butterflies drift through these pages not as symbols of escape, but of transformation earned slowly, painfully, and with grace. There is a stillness here, the black cat watching at the edge of the unknown, a bloom unfolding under a patient moon, reminding us that change does not arrive loudly. It gathers in silence. It waits. It listens. Tender and haunting, Between Shadow and Bloom is an invitation to sit with the in-between, and to discover that even in shadow, something within us is always reaching toward the light.. This is created for Versification 2026. It will have both poem and flash fiction stories, hopefully for all 30 prompts. I will delete it, and move them to other books after the judging is over.

The Illusion of Choice is a collection of poems that explores the fragile line between freedom and control. Through quiet battles, unspoken emotions and unseen forces, each piece unravels the truth behind the choices we believe are ours. Because sometimes, the hardest realization isn't losing, it's understanding you were never truly deciding at all.
