Two short stories, one about a boy suffering from his mothers death, and one about his neighbour, who is held back due to her obsessive behaviour around money and investments.

The main character is based off of me. This is basically for me to vent and live out my weird FAMILY FRIENDLY fantasies. (The other characters are based off of people I know irl,or imaginary friends. A LOT OF THIS IS ME TURNING MY VENTS INTO FANTASY (so that it doesn't hurt as bad to write this if that makes sense..so like if somebody has magic or something don't be surprised)

There are times where you unconsciously crave for other people's affirmation. If truth be told, it's all great not until your self-worth begin to be entirely dependent on them. Yet the social contract between the individual and their relationship to the larger world is driving us to hype the self to extremes. Our lives, especially when connected so quickly through digital channels, become fake images of the true person swarmed only by acquaintances with cursory views into that individual and what they believe and value. The great paradox of our time is that the emotional distance between us grows deeper with each digitized connection that we make.
