The sight hit him like a strike to the heart. Quietly devastated, Izuku retreated before either girl noticed his presence, carrying with him the heavy ache of a love he believed he'd lost. All Might and Principal Nezu found him soon after-eyes dimmer, spirit dulled, a rare sight in their ever-resilient student. Once they understood the source of his heartbreak, they made an unusual decision: two full months of vacation for Izuku Midoriya, both as compassion and reward. He was far ahead academically, emotionally worn, and in clear need of rest. Izuku accepted the time off, choosing to spend those months visiting his father-Mace Windu, the Jedi Master who had always watched his son's growth from a distance, proud yet cautious. Izuku hoped the visit would help him heal, or at least help him breathe again. What he didn't know-what he couldn't know-was that Tsuyu's "confession" had only been practice, a rehearsal meant for him.
