This is my spin-off of The Song of Achilles. Set in the modern era, Achilles and Patroclus meet under the incidents of politics, business, and pride. Will their parents keep them apart for appearance? Will their parents play any part in their lives? Will their love save them this time? Or will it cause destruction again? Are they still doomed? It will be a very similar story to The Song Of Achilles plot wise, especially in the beginning. It will get better, though, I promise. Credits to Madeline Miller, writers of the illiad, and those random people on pinterest for ideas. Also this leans a little Hamilton so sorry in advance I suck at descriptions, sorry.

[on-going] It starts of with the gods killing an innocent demigod. Everyone is devastated, but none more than Perseus Jackson. He cuts all of his connections with the Demigod life. Unsurprisingly, the gods need help. They desperately need their most powerful demigod but he is fighting his own battle which he may never make out of. Patroclus and Achilles have been attached at the hip since second grade, when Patroclus' abusive father went on a vacation without him, and left him in the hands of Peleus, an old family friend. Now in their senior year of high school, emotions are dealt with, fathers are douchebags, and tragic events transpire.

A short -but hopefully pleasant- story inspired form Madeline's Miller book The song of Achilles. Anyone who hasn't read the book i wouldn't recommend reading this as there are spoilers involved. this is a story completely based/ inspired from the talented writer. hope you enjoy it!

After reading 'The Song Of Achilles', this is my verson of an alternate ending, or rather an extended form.

Achilles is bitter, the death of Patroclus has left his sorrow incomparable, and his anger scalding. Achilles would do anything to get Patroclus back, and he will. Watch as Achilles shatters the battlefields of Greece and Razes the belly of the underworld. He will not stop until he rescues Patroclus from the clutches of Thanatos, and if he doesn't, he will run down the realm of Hades.

Right so I just finished the song of Achilles and my heart hurts! Written with the tears still drying on my cheeks xxx (cover art credit goes to the amazing artist!!!)

'But you, Patroclus,' Achilles' voice drops to a mere whisper, as his body tilts nearer to my own. I smile softly at the way he speaks my name- unchanged, after all this time. Pat-ro-clus. Each syllable sharp, and deliberate. 'You are all hero.' I lean into the touch, and for a while, we are just two boys- not heroes, not exiles, not princes- and we could be alive, and mortal again; by the banks of any Earthly river.

Patrochilles AU ~ [In this AU, Patroclus never gets expelled to Fthia. He remains in his homeland and in an attempt to prove his father wrong about everything he's said to him, he trains intensely for years] - Patroclus and Achilles meet at the Trojan war, both have one goal in mind, become The Greatest Of The Greeks. Due to their shared goal, a rivalry is born between them, causing them to always compete with each other in private despite appearing friendly in front of others. As they get to know each other more over the course of 10 years, they realize that maybe, just maybe, they aren't as different as they thought. A/N: 1. All fanart pictures were taken from Pinterest. Basically, imma pick up where it left off, Achilles and Patroclus being the most lovey dovey couple in the underworld. My knowledge of the Greek underworld consists of that river that makes you forget ur mortal life when you drink from it and three headed prupets so, don't judge me. Anywhosits and whatsits don't count on regular updates, my ADHD ass can't commit to shit.

I am a book nerd, and if you haven't figured that out from my username alone then I don't know what to tell you. I love books, but book recommendations? MOST OF THEM SUCK. Enjoying reading doesn't mean enjoying what's trending. While it's completely valid to love books that happen to be popular, loving books because they are popular is very different than loving a book that happens to be popular. People on BookTok often give unrealistic expectations about reading and books yet is widely liked. I will give honest and sincere reviews and suggestions, but this will probably not have a lot of reads. In fact, if you're still reading this description, what are you doing? What are you trying to procrastinate? Go to the dishes or something, how much time do you have on your hands? Anyways, welcome to my unhinged and honest book rants, and be sure to comment your own!
