It was said to be a turbulent time with wars, plagues, and lots of crime. Now technology has vanished due to two massive discoveries. First was a scientist who became the first mage. He discovered how to do true magic and the scale to get stronger. After that knowledge started to spread a monk discovered true cultivation. Both use the same scale though both are different. One uses the world's energy to cast spells, set up arrays, and more. The other reinforces the body and makes them able to use their inner energy to fly. You must be one or the other. Even someone with awesome affinity for both must choose. This story is how one person breaks that rule, eventually.

This story is an attempt by me to blend Science Fiction and Fantasy, while teaching basic elvish and Dungeons and Dragons mechanics of Wizardry, in a created world following after Tolkien's themes.
