Katie and Patrick are not dating. At least, that is what they tell everyone. They are not exactly friends either. There are stolen kisses, late night conversations, lingering touches, and enough tension between them to make everyone at Tommen wonder what is really going on. Katie knows she wants more from Patrick. The problem is, she has no idea if he wants the same thing. After one disastrous night at a party leaves Katie feeling rejected and questioning everything between them, she starts to wonder if she ever really understood what she meant to Patrick in the first place. Because Patrick says he likes her. He looks at her like he wants her. He kisses her like she means something. So why won't he make her his? When eleven year old Marie Lynch's parents die in a car crash, she is sent from Wicklow back to Cork, Ireland where she begins attending Ballylaggin Community School. At BCS, she meets Teddy Lynch, the golden boy hurler, who sweeps her off her feet both physically and emotionally. Fifteen year old Theodore Lynch is a top notch hurler at BCS and beloved by all, but behind the scenes, he is the son of a drug addicted abuser. He confides into alcohol and the support of the mysterious, orphaned new girl. When things begin to go south, their relationship grows worse, but both get more deeply infactuated with each other. They grow up throughout the series and birth the infamously painful Lynch family. As both become more mentally ill, the horrors only grow. (mature themes)
