I used to stare at the stars, figuring out if they were staring at me too. But now that the world has turned away from me they disappeared, and they will not be able to stare at me ever again. Dignity, a citizen of a far future society battles against an unrelenting, unidentifiable, and unmatchable forces; on a suicide mission to escape a prison miles underground.

Following their adventure in the Horsehead Nebula, the Doctor and Rose take a trip into the past to tie up a few loose ends. While dodging secretive agencies, escaping exploding islands and hunting a doomed ship for an alien parasite, they encounter new (and old) faces and adjust to each other as friends and travelling companions. [Book III]

After their disastrous adventure with the Gelth, the Doctor and Rose reflect on whether travelling together is a good idea. After a snap decision and an unexpected row result in Rose leaving him and the TARDIS, the Doctor discovers he's made a monumental and dangerous mistake. One which he needs to correct before it's too late. [Book I]
