I'm that one person who listens to music; like A LOT. Mainly folk rock, indie, surf rock and instrumentals. Recently, while I was listening to a song, I was like, I could make a story out of this. Thus the existence of this book. Aka: Songfics! Hi guys! I've decided to write a script based on the album Dear Wormwood by the Oh Hellos. I'm not sure how this is gonna work, if you stay tuned to read please bear with me and be patient. A description of the story will be posted after the story is complete. I'd suggest playing the song that goes with what's happening as you read. If you can't read quick, listen first then read, or read then listen. :) The characters will not be given much description, I'd love for you to tell me what you think they'd look like as you read. I can't wait to see where we go with this story. (Please, if you catch a part of the story that you feel should be rewritten or doesn't make sense, let me know! I want this to be as magical as possible.)

This story is based off a song "Soldier, Poet, King" By The Oh Hello's A small kingdom has spread rumors about magical creatures. Drust, a curious 18 year old man decides to try to find what his people have said. He travels around the world to where he finds a normal village. Lost, he tries to ask for directions and needing to ask for directions. Drust finds a sweet lady names Ima. Little dose Drust know, this woman will change his life. Drust is a 18 year old boy who craves adventure. His father passed away when he was young leaving him alone with his younger sister and mother. Mother turned very sick as the sister does simple housework while Drust worked at a farm. He tries his best to make money. He is a muscular but skinny boy, his dirty blonde hair always draping down into his eyes. His fair skin and light blue eyes complement each other. Typically he would wear some loose fitting dark green pants and dark blue shirt, though he has been slowly saving up for a new outfit. He never really fit his father's clothes. Drust is a very sweet and kind boy but tends to be curious. He always love the mystery but tends to overlook the magic in the world, thinking it is all just child's play. If there was magic, why wouldn't it help bring back his dad? Why wouldn't it help his mother...why wouldn't it help his sister find a good beau? she wouldn't have to work and worry that way... (beau means significant other-- where the word bae comes from)

I never used to use my head. But since my life capsized, I might have to start. It's been 2 months since I've met Vernon, and I never thought that this would happen to me. So I'm just doing one with them being them And then slowly being friends and liking each other with respect. Like they did, but with a new way of saying it. Oh, hello journal...

When in doubt, tell the story of a song. Often times songs stay just that, songs stuck on a CD or a vinyl or your liked songs on Spotify. Sometimes they chose to come alive and tell their story in a different way. So the idea for this collection came to be, i guess this is essentially song fan fiction but i'm in no way mad about it.

So I made this for myself as I am soon going to be making parodies of music and I'm going to be keeping my lyrics here! I will right the names and authors of the songs on the titles I don't own anything here! The rights go to all the rightful owners!
