James was always seen as top of the food chain when it came to school. He worked hard to make sure that everyone knew that he wasn't to be messed with. This worked up until Sophomore year, where James met someone who he couldn't intimidate. Nick wasn't a social guy by nature. He had a friend or two, but was overall quiet, thus an easy target. Though, when someone did decide to mess with him, he showed them why that was a mistake. Nick can handle his own, and he's never one to throw the first punch, but he sure as hell will finish the fight. ~ This is a 2025 reimagining of a book that I did in collaboration with another creator back in 2014 called Broken Promises. While that book doesn't exist on the platform anymore, it does exist in a doc, and I used that as inspiration to write my own, more coherent tale in the same premise, only in a shorter form, to set up for the next book (yes, next book) that will be the real shit show. This is just a prelude, of sorts. Setting a scene, setting up names and such. Please enjoy.

Kevin Cardona aka capnnova is the new creature in the house, the first official female creature. Of course shes excited, but also nervous for the future. She had always thought she was totally in love with Aleks, from the very beginning. But that takes a hard turn when something happens between her and James at Comic Con. She begins to have on going feelings for him. And for a long time she tries her best to hide it, just acting like a good friend around him and the others. Thats until James begins to gain feelings for her as well. But his scared to fall head over heels for her. His partly scared of Kevin's older brother, Eddie aka Sly's reaction. Scared of how him and Kevin will end up. And Kevin tries her best to be cool with it. Will James get over his fear or will he lose the only girl who really understands him forever?

Dexter Manning was in love with his best friend Aleksansdr. After a while Aleks let's him be loved by Dexter. Everything was perfect between both males. Seamus and James were determined to protect the fragile Russian from all harm and they trusted Dexter handling Aleks' heart. Until, they were invited to a party. Everything was out of its place and Seamus tried to talk to Dexter while James tried to handle Aleks. With all the yelling and fighting it was almost impossible. ALMOST.
