Terraform Stories

This short story was writen for the SciFi Competitions of June 2019 with the following theme: "A five years mission ends, begining of holidays but not as expected" Around this theme, i built a crew of people specialist on their own fields led by Captain Oro at the command of a planet size ship the "HOD" which purpose is to terraform planets so humanity find a new home. Five years later, Earth-II is complete ready to welcome settlers, the crew ready for party but something goes awry.

An average twelve year old boy wakes up to find himself somewhere he never thought he could be. Mars. He has no recollection of his old life and no friends in this strange, new place. The only thing he can remember is a nickname his friends gave him. Theseus. He was put inside of a large dome, not able to go out unless he had a special suit on. His mission was to colonize Mars and terraform it, so it could sustain human life. One day, he was stopped when a special someone came to the red planet...

Set a thousand years in the future, this post-post apocalyptic story records the evolutions of a new humanity. The world is rapidly changing and humanity's new evolution with abilities to control the four elements, promises a better future. Klai (pronounced Clay) is an earth bender who has risen through the ranks in the TerraForma Collective. Grappling with her choice to leave her family and join the collective while still carving out her own story, Klai lives a fairly normal life, until little things begin to change all around her....

When the earth ended, humanity took to space. Fleets scattered over the Milky Way and began to terraform new planets to their liking. Over time it was decided that reclaiming Earth, rebuilding it and resettling the planet was in the best of interest of the species. The process takes time and as flora and fauna flourish, a special group is charged with keeping tabs on the planet. The group is meant to keep the evolution of the planet in check, removing dangerous wildlife and eradicating plants that harm the habitat. The group that protects Earth's development resides on an orbiting space station named Stalwart Crest. They are the first and last line of defense for the scientists and engineers rebuilding the planet. They are the best of the best and assignment to the Crest is an honor bestowed on very few. Myra Cygnus is the newest member of the crew. In the third month of her service the Crest received a distress call from a lab on the planet. She was three months into her time on the most prestigious ship in the galaxy when that ship started to take it all down.

Flel is a forerunner that has lived on the planet Kvasir his entire life, but his grandfather passed down a book to him that has information about an artifact that goes back in time. Flel gathers up a party of forerunners to find the artifact once it is discovered that the transhumants are beginning to kill off the human population on Kvasir. The group makes it to 'the Spire' which is a way to be gifted powers from the Gods. Each member of the party receives a gift and some of the party makes it across the wall to fight the mutants. They go on many adventures along the way. The Clock Artifact is discovered, in pieces, but once put together, the remaining party manages to set time back before the Lower Creator of the Dark Realm can intervene with this path of time causing the destruction of Earth to have never happened. The end of the book is open for interpretation and could lead to more books.F

We are not alone. An alien race has left its home due to it's galaxy colliding with another. Fortunate for them, a wormhole was constructed, that lead to the Zeta Reticuli system, only 39 light years away from Earth. It's taken them around a hundred years to get to our home, and they want to terraform it into they're own paradise. 2071 is a big year for Earth, the population has reached 10 billion, the first ever manned mission to Jupiter commenced, and now, humanity has discovered that we are not alone in the universe. These extraterrestrials are over 1000 years more advanced than humans. We have already experienced their solar and antimatter powered technology, that makes them unstoppable. Why did these aliens choose to come to Earth? Why are they destroying the planet? What did the audio message mean? There are many questions that just can't be answered. We don't know who's coming, but we do know that they're coming.

The first world is the key ____________________________ This tells the tale of two men who live at a point in time where the galaxy has been colonized and people are running out of new places to live. Governments have ignored this problem for eons, pressing forward while the people suffer behind them. Many desolate worlds exist that cannot support life, but the technology exists to terraform them in a short amount of time. The increasing demand for new planets is insatiable, however, and barely habitable worlds are being colonized despite the incredible risk. The men search these worlds in the hopes that they might find one where life exists such that its example could be used to save the whole galaxy from its many ecological crises, bringing a balance between progress and long-term survival. Instead they come across the worst case scenario- a worldwide environmental collapse. Their story begins here.

This book is based on my journey in the pixilated world of Terraria. Follow the story and watch as Jake grows stronger and faces the threats that the world throws at him, and how he meets new acquaintances to assist him on the way. However, this us no normal fan made fiction. The fabric between fantasy and reality are bent and what you really know about the game will be tested.
