Waller knows the world is changing-gods, metahumans, and cosmic threats crossing dimensions-and she intends to weaponize it before it consumes Earth. Mosi agrees, reluctantly, to let Khalil Payne / Painkiller lead a new iteration of Task Force X. The hunter is Zoom (Hunter Zolomon), obsessed with shaping "better heroes" by putting them through unimaginable torment. His target is Alinta/Bolt, but his chaos ripples across New Haven. Meanwhile, Mosi feels the Loom itself strain-threads of fate snapping in unnatural ways-and realizes Zoom is not acting alone. His manipulations are preparing the board for larger forces-Apokolips, demons, and Waller's eventual rise with Task Force X. Khalil Payne (Painkiller) returns, aiding Mosi in tracking Waller's "list" of hidden heroes-but they avoid direct contact, leaving that setup for the Task Force X spin-off.
