Being forced to play a role he never chose or wanted. Abused and forced to drink potions that make him smaller than he should be and even treated worse than an animal. He only has three friends. Modern Tangled AU. I'm not an orphan, nor do I really know one, so I apologize if some of the facts are unrealistic, but the story isn't in our world anyways. Most children hated the thought of an orphanage, due to how many times the people running the place were mean in most TV shows. Ironically, they were actually Varian's safe haven. Foster parents never worked out. If they didn't end up just sending him back, he wasn't treated right. He even had to hop from different orphanages due to this and never stayed in one place longer than six months. He never had a stable home, life, friends, or even a family at all. When Varian lands in Corona Rd. Home for Kids, a little light begins to shine. However, he only begins to see just how messed up he is more and more. The kids at the orphan home meet up at an old cafe by the home to hang out. Disclaimer: I do not own Tangled or the videos. Rated T for PTSD, violence, abuse, reference to underage drinking, drugs, and self-harm. (Let me know if I should add warnings or put it in mature content because there is some really dark themes in here, but there's no smut and I don't actually write the cuss word, but the character does say them. ON HIATUS After six months spent in prison, Varian finally escapes and comes across some of his father's old books that have information about the Black Rocks. Certain that this could help free his father, he sets out to follow the Black Rock's path. Rapunzel, weighed down by guilt, has set out to follow the Black Rocks along with her crew. She does not know that her father is still lying to her and has broken his promise not go too hard on Varian. How will fever and regret bring them back together? And will that be enough to make up for past mistakes?

What if Eugene had been left to die in that tower. What if mother Gothel had taken Rapunzel far away from anything that could help her. What if the only thing either of them had was their will. All these chapters are extremely short FYI
