A Biographical Study of the Greatest Military General in History. Khalid bin Al-Waleed was one of the greatest generals in history, and one of the greatest heroes of Islam. And about Whom Abu Bakr (RA) said âWomen will no longer be able to give birth to the likes of Khalid bin Al-Waleed.â (Ibn Kathir, Al-Bidayah wan-Nihayah, The original title of the book, âThe Sword of Allah: Khalid bin Al-Waleed, His Life and Campaignsâ was written by the late Lieutenant-General A.I. Akram of the Pakistan Army, in October 1969. The author learnt Arabic in order to draw on the earliest historical sources and he visited every one of Khalidâs battlefields in order to draw analyses from the viewpoint of military strategy, including reconciling conflicting historiansâ accounts.

This story is based on a true history of an Arab Muslim commander. Before converting into Islam, he twice fought wars against Prophet Muhammad SAW. Then, he converts into Islam and fought alongside Prophet Muhammad SAW. To know why he converts into Islam and why he is called 'The Sword of Allah', you are welcome to read this book.

For ease of reading, we have not inserted "May Allah be pleased with him (RA)" each time his name or the name of each Companion is mentioned, but please take it that the salutations apply to all of them, may Allah be pleased with them
