★MEDKIT POV★ The car screeched to a stop, prompting you to step out, your legs numb from the drive, your mom stepping out with you. "Are you sure you have everything ?" She asked, pressing the button to open the trunk. You grabbed your bag, swinging it over your shoulder. "Yes, I'm sure, can I go now ?" You replied, your voice coming out sharper than you meant it to. She pulled into a hug so tight you could barely breathe. "My baby is all grown up !" She squealed, right into your ear at that. "Mom . . . " You grumbled, not bothering to hug her back. "I know I know, I'm sorry, it's just that this is such a huge moment for you !" She backed up, looking you up and down. "You never answered me ." "Oh ! Yes, you can go, Sweetheart ." Her voice cracked on the last word, her eyes starting to water. " . . I love you ." You sighed "Love you too Mom ." You mostly said that out of obligation, you really just wanted to go. She got back into the car, driving off.
