Every 40 seconds another person in our world dies due to suicide. That is 1 million people every year. That's more people dying due to suicide than by murder and war combined. 1 million people that are never coming back. 1 million people who felt their life wasnt even worth living anymore. 100,000 of these suicides are in adolesences and over 14 percent of high school students have considered suicide, and almost 7 percent have attempted it. But why? Well a study in Britain found that at least half of suicides among young people are related to bullying and that 160,000 kids stay home from school every day because of fear of bullying. 160,000 teens who are so scared. They wont come to school!!!!! We are living in a society where every 40 seconds another person takes their own life. EVERY 40 SECONDS! It has to stop. We have to think before we speak. And start to realise that those "Empty words" those "Stupid names," those "silly jokes" AREN'T FUNNY. Words hurt. Plain and simple. So I have written this poem about bullying hopefully it will raise more awareness on Bullying and suicide. Even if only a few people read this. Then thats fine. Because it only takes one person to believe in something to make a change. That person could be you.

This is a poem, by me. This poem is about a dream of the perfect world, where people would harm themselves. It was inspired by my friend, who cut constantly because she felt like no one cared. But I want to share with everyone that there is always someone who cares. You just doesn't know it yet.
